It was a cold, blustery day (as in, about 6 days ago) when we pulled together our dream head-to-toe outfits from the shop for the Spring '13 Lookbook. We had sunshine on our minds but nary a blooming flower in sight, so we took over the center city home of totally fab friend and WILLED Spring to get here already. Apparently it worked - yeah '75-degrees-and-sunny-all-week' we're looking at you!

Fresh denim styles have been arriving in shop daily, from the likes of Current/Elliott, AG Denim, Citizens of Humanity & Isabel Marant. Dark washes for trekking through the snow, lighter washes for hopping on that plane to warmer weather!

This week is all about making chic statements with layers of prints and accessories! The blazer from Isabel Marant is timeless, paired with fun on-trend printed denim from Current/Elliott. The Mali dress from Graham & Spencer is beautifully cut with flattering drapes and ruching. Last, but certainly not least is an incredible faux vest, also from Graham & Spencer. Paired with Mother's Runaway flare jean & new to shop Roseland top from Whetherly, this look couldn't be cozier!

This week we loved colorful, well-tailored pieces paired with vibrant accessories. Purple twill skinny jeans by J Brand!? Flattering, cute and shockingly easy to pull off. A denim dress with nipped in waist by Isabel Marant will be forever chic and smoky leather twin pack bag by Jas M.B. is a classic, seasonless piece.
When is the last time that denim looked and felt beautiful? New (ish) denim line MOTHER offers you that in one perfect package - a clean silhouette, extremely soft fabrication and a loving fit. We are beyond excited to have this label in house, and literally haven't been able to stop wearing the Looker skinny - yes, even in this heat. It's like they breathe for you.

Contemporary denim labels have been toying around with technicolor hues for the past few Spring seasons, but we didn't venture past the true blues. This season the colors feel so fresh - we couldn't resist! Red denim can actually be coy, pink denim is amazingly versatile, and flattering skinnies by both Isabel Marant and Les Halles are in house now.

Finally ... the 1st day of Fall!
So many great shipments arrived this week, including new styles from Isabel Marant's Etoile line, and our British love, Jas M.B. The crackled leather messenger that he sent across the pond is such a great size - not too big or small, super light-weight, and the texture is great for any outfit. New Etoile pieces include the gorgeous printed dress and this soft denim jumper - which happens to be quite sexy in a utilitarian sort of way. It's easy to wear, flattering and quite versatile.
Fall denim is arriving in house daily, and this season we are excited to feature a full range of styles from J Brand.
The Lexington (above) is a beautifully refreshing silhouette for Fall - very 'Ali McGraw in Love Story'! Features a mid-rise that lands straight at the waist, slight flare that starts below the knee and a clean wash throughout. Quintessential "Fall in the Northeast" denim! Paired with the uber-beautiful feather print blouse by Of Two Minds.
The Houlihan cargo has been a sell-out J Brand style for the past several months! The style rages on because the Houlihans are so soft, so universally flattering, and really perfect for any season. Here the cargo cleans up nicely with richly gorgeous black & ivory boucle top by Of Two Minds.
Many thanks to the stylish ladies who braved heat, humidity and monsoons to attend Cocktails & Cutoffs. A great time was had and some killer denim flew out the doors.

Lovely Liz strolled into work today wearing some of our favorite casual pieces - we just had to snap a few pics! The Shane by Genetic Denim, in torn, which features light distressing that is reinforced and super soft to the touch. The Daphne boot by Mea Shadow, featuring an inside ankle zip, brass hardware, and slightly slouchy fit. To top it all off, a classic straw Fedora by Hat Attack.
