Halloween is just around the corner and it definitely has us in the mood for black magic! What's on tap this weekend in Philadelphia? Rooting for the Phillies (Yay!) while side-stepping a few Nor-easters.  Stay cozy in that cold, cold rain by layering up on knit hats, gloves and scarves in every shape and size.

September

It's September, there is an early chill in the air and this outfit just seems like the best idea in the world to me. These (soft!) wool leggings by Isabel Marant and a fierce messenger bag by Jas M.B. will be dictating many outfits for me this season ...

Put a Bow On It

I don't quite why I'm so taken with this bag from Nicholas K; it's not a color I would usually go to and bows and tassles are not generally high on my list ... yet somehow the bag is still perfect. Supersoft leather exterior, with a canvas lining and zippered pouches on both inside flaps. The strap is removable, making for a fierce clutch.

Vested Interest

This kind of embodies the Back-To-School outfit of my adult imagination -- luxe but casual at the same time, complete with a beautiful, roomy bag and killer boots that I could walk around in all day long.  If only I could have dressed like this in college ....

Summertime, and the living is easy ... 

And yet, we can't help but to turn an eye towards Fall fashions! Blame it on all of the great styles that dropped in Vogue and W last week. Luckily a new shipment of baubles arrived this week from Fallon -- all edge and attitude and perfect  for a pre-Fall fix. 

Summer Wares, City Style

Back from the beach after a long holiday weekend, and we've been on a kick to compile breezy summer looks that work well in the city heat. Luckily a new selection of cotton tunics by Splendid just arrived, as did this washed silk romper by Maggie Ward. With an easy fit and a hint of stretch, this is silk that can take on mass transit, anyday.

Our vibe for Spring this year has been a little bit earthy, a little bit edgy, be it with denim, tops, dresses or shoes. So we were thrilled to find a jewelry line that walks the fine line perfectly! Victorian Hippie uses quality materials like leather, gemstones and antique brass to create unique yet casual pieces. A new shipment of Chan Luu wrap bracelets arrived this week, in a palate of delicate and bright tones perfect for Spring.

A Glimpse of Spring Style

Giles & Brother by Philip Crangi is one of our favorite house lines, filled with both heavy metal and delicate pieces alike. A new shipment of charm bracelets just arrived this week, and they provide the perfect sparkle to the flick of a wrist.

Earthy Jewelry for Fall, by Chan Luu

When Third Street Habit opened over four years ago, one of the first styles that we stocked up on was the Chan Luu wrap bracelet. Her original wrap bracelets featured sterling silver and gold vermeil faceted beading onto greek leather. 

We are loving the updated versions of Chan's wrap bracelets, which include swarovski crystals, tiger's eye and colored quartz and mother of pearl. Above are new styles that just arrived in the shop ...
